ok, my fh's friend is getting married in April. she is registered at bon-ton and linens and things. bon-ton is like fortunoff, she is in florida.
she is in my bp, i am not in hers, nor is fh. no big deal. but i'm just wondering how much i should spend for a shower gift? keep in mind, the shower is in PA, and we'll be staying overnight for 2 nights.
she has some very expensive stuff on her bon-ton registry, so i won't be buyng china or crystal
thoughts?

I originally hit $40-$50, but now thinking over $50. I'm assuming she is close to you, since she is in your BP, and since it's for a shower, I think I would do more.

I normally spend about $100 on shower gifts when not in the wedding.

i always spend a least $50 no matter who the person is
its so bad but nowadays as im getting older- i feel the need to be more generous..as people have always been generous to me

I would say around 50.... Also I don't think Bon Ton is like Fortunoff at all. They have one upstate where FH is from and his brother got me some old lady clothes from there and when I tried to exchange them they had absolutely nothing for me to get. They also have hardly anything on their website, so I would stick with linens and things.

It's whatever your budget can accommodate. I'm sure that she is dear to you guys which also assures me that she will understand what expenses you are incurring by traveling and staying for two nights. I'm positive that your presence will mean much more to her than the gift you bring.
