How much to spend on a cake server set?

Hi,

I was wondering how much you guys spent on your cake server set (or will spend)

I was just in Bermuda and saw this beautiful set - but for 150.00.

I can order it online - but I'm still hedging -- is it nuts to spend that much on it ?!?!?

Thanks!

I'm a dope - I should have taken a picture of it. I took about 400 digital pictures on the cruise, but I didnt take the pic of the thing that I keep on thinking about!

They had white handles - like shelly, opal white. Had some rhinestones and engraving.. really pretty.

IMO...$150 for a cake serving set is a lot. I don't have one so I can't say how much I spend...look around, you may find something cheaper.

We didn't get one. I know the prices really vary with them. We borrowed the hall's on the wedding day.

Great minds DO think alike! :) I got the same set as JennBaby & Radiostar for $19 onsale at Macy's!

If you've got it like that & you really like it, go ahead & splurge.

Unless you are very sentimental and are going to save it I wouldn't go crazy spending a lot of money. Nobody notices it anyway. I hope that doesn't sound mean...just my experience.

I'm probably use the one my father and stepmother used...why spend money on something you might not use often or ever again?? JMO...I'm on a budget! (and no one sees it)

Re: How much to spend on a cake server set?

i won a set at the last gtg but im thinking of getting my own set.. most of them are under $50....
but if you really like the one for $150, theres nothing to stop you, you can always use it when you have company over and then itll be more practical
