How much to tip?

Hey! I'm getting married this weekend and have been talking to my fiance about tipping...what is appropriate or average??

I was recently married in July and I am not sure what is customary to tip...I just gave all of my vendors what I thought was fair. I did however plan to give my matre dee a rather large tip but the day of I adjusted it (took money out) and gave it to my bridal attendant. The bridal attendant worked her butt off and the matre dee did nothing but aggrivate people and bark orders at my bridesmaides. It got to the point where I had to speak with her about her behavior and ask her to chill out.

So my advice would be to use your gut and make a decision based on their performance. I know that seems silly and a little annoying for the day of....but I really believe that I made the right decision. I had all my tip envelopes filled out and labeled before the big day but I didnt seal them. Then I was able to adjust the monetary amounts as needed.
