How much vacation time for the wedding/honeymoon?

Id like to take off at least the Thursday and Friday before, possibly Wednesday, but the way things stand at this moment probably won't be possible due to the layoffs and the fact that I decided to get married at the end of deadline week.

For HM, I'm going to wait until the next few weeks die down a bit from the firings, and then I'm going to tell my boss, FYI I will not be here 2-3 weeks of July 2010, I'll be on my HM, and I'll let you know the specifics as we get closer, thanks!

Fortunately, it's the type of environment where I can be cavalier like that, and that's what it's going to boil down to, because if I don't take a stand now, it'll be like well, I'd rather you not because that's when everyone else goes on vacation. Well, this year, everyone else can bite me

I am taking off 2 or 3 days before the wedding (I'm leanings towards 2 right now) - the wedding is on a Saturday. 3½ weeks for the HM and then 2 days after we get home before going back to work. All in all it's 4½ weeks but I have a 2 day Thanksgiving holiday in there so it's really only 4 weeks - I cannot wait!!!

Me too! FH and I just want to take a really really long HM since we know we want to start a family right away and this is it as far as the long trips go for a while.....

I am going to be on my Summer Vacation from work so I'll be off of work b4 the wedding
