The dresses were $180, but we bought them from RK Bridal on the no-frills program for $150. I vowed to keep the dresses under $200, I felt that was reasonable. I know people who have picked $300 dresses, but I personally think that's a bit much for a dress most people will only wear once.

With my MOH money is no object but I knew that one BM was a little on the ch...errr....frugal side so I had my MOH probe and see what kind of price range she was looking for....I was pleasantly surprised when she said 150-200....there a zillions of dresses in that price range

My BM dresses were about $150 which was in the range of what my girls were willing to spend!

I let my MOH pick out her dress(strapless) & then I picked the BM dress to match except the BM's are not strapless...I also let the girls pick my color...My MOH dress was $165 & BM was $160

i let my girls pick out a dress- they all fell in love withone dress it cost $260 at the store but i found it online for $162 - house of brides so i was happy about that because i wanted it under $200

My bridesmaid dresses are from Jordan and I found them online for $97.00!!! I do NOT want my girls paying alot for their dresses.

My girls paid 138 for their dresses at David's Bridal...There are so many other expenses, I couldn't feel right about asking them to pay too much more than that...
I also reccomend RK Bridal...

Mine were 160 - they were 170 but since we ordered them from the same place I got my dress they all got a 10% discount.
They all thought the dress was reasonable.

I think the most expensive dress any of my girls ordered was $170. The others were all in the $150-$160 range. (They all chose their own style) The most expensive dress I ever bought as a Bridesmaid was $200 and then it cost each of us at least $60 in alterations because it was chiffon (2 layers to hem).

i havent't picked out the dresses yet BUT i already know im going to have a problem with my girls. i have all differnt shapes, sizes,ages in my bp and i know not everyone is going to be happy with what i pick , color style price but you know what i dont care !!!
know matter what you do or what you pick someone is always going to complain and you dont need that stress its your day you want things the way you want it
when its their wedding they will understand it too

Mine came to $120 with tax from Davids Bridal!!! I have been in weddings where I have spent almost $300 on a dress that I wore for one day!!! I knew I didn't want my girls spending a lot and I picked out the dress and when I saw the price, I couldn't believe it!!

I wanted to keep my girls with alterations under $220.00 and I did so I was very happy if that is what ur looking for then u need to find a dress around $150 or so!!

Bill Levkoft dresses in euro sky blue but in the picture they look purple!!

My BMs dresses were $220 and that was with the extra charge for the shawl and the straps. If they needed, more alternations that expected or if they needed a bigger size then they had to pay a little more.

My girls dress were $133 and included a shawl. They are by bill levkoff and no one complained.
BUT we did look at a few dresses 175-250 and I could tell it made some of them nervous so I tried my best to stay away from the pricer gowns.

My girls paid $275 each for their gowns which is definitely on the expensive side. But, I discussed it with them before the final decision was made and no one objected because they all loved the gowns. I told them I was totally open to continue shopping for less expensive gowns. I felt bad because they were so much, but they loved them and were prepared for the expense. I was lucky in this aspect with my girls b/c this could have been a huge issue.
ETA: They were 2 piece gowns and my MOH already wore the top twice and the whole gown one other time. Another BM is going to re-wear her gown to an upcoming wedding, and two other BMs have also worn their tops a couple of times!

I paid $130 from netbride and saved almost $100 over what Macy's wanted. Unfortunately one of my girls had to pay $200 in alterations since they didn't come in a size 0!

The first dress I picked out was $200, I was so afraid the girls would flip since they were all on tight budgets. They seemed ok about it. Turns out I changed my mind about the dress and picked a dress by Belsoie instead and wound up only costing them $130. Now alterations was a whole different story!
