Mine are at $425 right now (almost as much as my dress cost) and it may go up...I feel like it's too much for a bustle and being taken in. Is taking off the bead work REALLY that much???

mine are capped at $65 for the hem and $65 for the bustle. Where are you getting yours altered?

Mine was capped at about $75. Some places over charge for alterations. Can you take it somewhere else??

Mine is capped at $245 at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place, but I don't think it will even be that high.

I think that is rediculously high for alterations. Lydia's in Copiague caps at 200, i think-and that includes the bustle. No other place that I shopped at included the bustle in the cost-it was always about 80 extra.

I haven't had my alterations yet, but was told it would be
$100 for top work $100 for bottom/hem work $150 for the bussel

What do I do? I'm so upset, the style of my dress is changed now. She says that's how it was. Should I take it somewhere else? And if so....WHERE? This *****, I want a new dress now, but I only have 2 1/2 months to go...
