HOW MY NIGHT ENDED !! =( with Stef (Sunny) as my Hero ! =)
WELLLLL,
First of all it was a blessing to me that Stefanie (Sunny) rode with me in my car, because my story had a happy ending thanks to her !
We are about to pull out of the parking spot, and I hear BLUB BLUB BLUB BLUB, and I go 'Is that a flat ???
' and Stef didnt hear it and goes 'What?' and I go 'Listen!!
' and sure enough....
So thank Goodness JA is fast asleep in the back. Fed, clean and content. Thats my first priority. So now I call my hubby who tells me to call GEICO because we should have roadside assistance.
All the while, Stef, my trooper of the night, is INSISTING that SHE change my tire !! (how nice is that ????) SO I say 'thanks for the thought, I appreciate it, but NO WAY!' This is my first car, which I got at 26 (A year and a half ago), so never having grown up with a car, changing a tire to me is 'big stuff'
and with a baby in the car, we really need a 'rough tough guy'
(No offense to you Steffie!) But I just wanted to be sure that it was done by a professional. (Im such a dork as I learned).
Well the tow truck that GEICO Called was in the neighborhood and pulled into the lot about 2 minutes after I started talking to them on the phone! Talk about LUCK!
Well it wasnt the GREATEST luck
because they said they dont take credit cards at this hour of the night. Cash only. Again Stef offered to lend me cash since I didnt have $65 on me. (Sweetiee pie !)
So we couldnt BELEIVE that this guy wouldnt budge, and let me charge it, even in the morning, Geico has all my info! I have a baby in the car!
So Stef assured me that we could find any nice guys at the bar inside to change the tires, and we could give them even $20 each and be better off!
So Stef was kind enough to go inside and come back with 2 GUARDIAN ANGELS ! who were so kind to change the tire, chit chat with us and explain to me how to be safe with it. Not to drive too fast, not to keep it on too long. When they were done, I was giving them a little 'tip' and they wouldnt accept it. I was really trying to stick it in their pockets and they just refused.
I just thought WOW, I happened to encounter some of the most BIG-HEARTED people tonite, and with my son sleeping in my car, where I could have been on the side of a parkway in the dark by myself, this all really worked out so well thanks to my three HEROES tonite !!
PS-I took pics of the guys, and we took a pic with them
(ya didnt think I was gonna miss that opportunity, didja ??) and I took their email addresses so I could email them the pics....
OK, I babbled enough.
A round of applause for Stefanie (Sunny) please...
(and lots of big hugs and kisses from JohnAnthony for making it all go so smoothly and for making mommy stay calm and for finding the guys to change our tire....)
and thanks to Joe and Karl for being such great souls tonite!
