How often do you see doctor?

I went to see doc to confirm pregnancy at 7 weeks, then I went back 3 weeks later, now he wants me to come back in 2 weeks...I'm only 13 weeks into the pregnancy and some of the girls at work are saying I should only be going once a month. Would love to hear how often you guys saw doctor - I'm getting paranoid that maybe something is wrong they want to keep an eye on and they're just not telling me. I know I'm anemic but don't think that's a big issue.

I'm 11 weeks and I am going for my first appointment with my OBGYN on monday for my pregnancy physical. I then go back on the 17th for an orientation with the midwives, lactation consultants, WIC and the hospital where I will have the baby. After that I will go once a month with every alternating month having an ultrasound then 2x's a month starting my 7th month... and then we shall see.

I went once a month from 7 weeks till 26. Now I go every 3 till 32 weeks when I go ever 2 then at 36 wks its a weekly thing.

Maybe at 15 wks they want to do the AFP test...

Thanks! Good point on the AFP test - I'll be just shy of 16 weeks at that point so that makes sense....

I've been to my OBGYN 3x's already (going on 4x's), had 2 sonograms and I'm 15 1/2 weeks pregnant. It seem as tho every Dr. is different when it comes to check-ups.

So far for me..

8 weeks Appt. 1 - Urine to confirm pregnancy, complete gyno physical (pap smear), complete blood test including glucose test.

12 weeks Appt. 2 - Ultra Screen Test (sonogram)

14 weeks Appt 3 - Check Heartbeat/Sonogram

17 weeks Appt. 4 - Nov 9th (another Heartbeat check)

19 weeks Appt 5 - Nov 24th (Level 2 Sono) Hopefully we'll be able to find out if it's a or a


I wouldnt stress about seeing your Dr. I'm sure if he was worried about something he would of told you immediately.

I was about 5 weeks for a blood test to confirm...

I guess I was 6-7 weeks for my first prenatal

Then it was once every four weeks, until I hit my 30 week mark and now I go every 2 weeks...

I think I have one more 2 week visit and I'll be 36 weeks by then, then I think it's every week...

Edited to say: that sounds about right for you... I know at one point the weeks were off, but it worked out to get me back on track, now I go on even weeks... dont know if that's what the doctor is trying to do for you... I wouldn't worry!

I saw my doctor A LOT in the beginning, so I think its normal.

Week 4 - confirm pregnancy - sono done, couldnt see anything
Week 5 - sono - saw gest sac
Week 7 - sono - saw heart beat
Week 9 - sono - hear heart beat, and blood tests
Week 11 - first part of intergrated quad test
Week 12 - listen to heart beat

Now I am not going again until week 16 and then every 4 weeks after that...

My dr goes every 4 weeks until you get further along.

I had my first appt w/vaginal sonogram at 9 weeks. And every 4 weeks on since my 9 week appt I have had regular checkups. I had my ultrascreen/sonogram at 11.5 weeks. I had my 2nd sonogram at 21 weeks. I had various bloodwork done at different stages but that was all done at the lab.

I saw my doc every 4 weeks until I hit 30 weeks, then I went every 2 weeks until 36 weeks and then I went weekly.
