How often do you see yours or his parents?

How often do you see yours or his parents?

We see his more often- at least once a week since we live close to them. My parents live about an hour away so we see them every week or two- I see them more- he sees my parents about once a month. Just wondering what the average is.....

My parents we see quite often (we are a very close family) so at least once a week if not more. They only live 5 minutes away. His parents live very close too but we only see them maybe once a month. They are a little strange .

We see his parents EVERY WEEK! sometimes twice a week... sorry thats just too much for me... only because of his father though... and when we don't see them, he calls FH almost every day!!! (can't wait to move out of state)
we see my mom every couple months, shes in PA. And my dad a couple times a month to every other month. He's in the city, but has a very busy life... away on business a lot.

Both of our parents live out of state (his in NJ and mine in PA) so we don't see them that much. We do though see mine more then his. I have a brother who also lives on LI so my parents tend to come here to visit at least once a month if not more. (well, alot more lately and for the next year without a doubt to help out with all the planning!)

We see his father primarily for holidays and family events. We see my mother every other week or so.

we see his family every other week. He sees them everyday since he works with his step-dad. we see my family everyday since we live in an apartment in the back of their house

We see his Dad every month or 2...he lives out east so we go for the weekend. His mom lives in NC so maybe once or twice a year. My parents, every few weeks, they are in Queens. And of course, we always 'stay too long' at my parents! But never at his.

mine I see once or twice a week, they live close
and his once a week or once every two weeks, they live fairly close too

Since we live in different cities, I see his family every time I go there (once a month) because they are very close.
Usually he sees my family when he comes here (once a month).
When I move there, I will probably see my family 4 times a year and his every day.

we see my parents everyday... they live with us. His mom lives in Flushing so we see her every 2 weeks or so!!

we live with his parents so we see them everyday. i see my parents about 4 days a week. they live like 5 minutes away.

I guess I used to see my fam...a few times a month...now since I moved...it will be a few times a year

We have not seen his mom since October!! but she's in Spain...so thats the excuse...otherwise we see her a few times a year

my fh is the same way... he'll complain about staying at my dads too long, or at my moms, but yet we can see his parents 2 or 3 times a week... for hours at a time and its not too long. grrrr

Wow - we are def. in the minority - we see our families every few months. We live in Brooklyn and our families live in Kings Park.

How annoying is that?! Plus this is the first year I have not lived with my parents and now that I am getting married my Mom LOVES to see me and discuss etc.....yet he rushes me out the door!

this weekend he was annoyed cuz we had lunch and dinner with my dad, when he wanted to get home early so he can relax. So i just told him 'Tough! i don't get to see him that often, so deal with it!'

We live 5 blocks away from my parents...so we see my family more often. His parents live overseas and his sister lives in PA. We normally visit his sister and her family at least once a month.

This is a huge source of contention for DH and I. We see his family very frequently, we live in Queens, they live in suffolk (so does my mom) and we always go out there to see them, they never come to see us.
Seriously, they've been to queens (which they think is the scary city) 3x in the past 3 years.
So we're always in traffic on the weekends. I hate it!! And we never see my mom, who has cancer and is by herself. But it's like a huge deal if we go see her and not his family.
DH is definitely still tied to the apron strings.

starhead...you just described my mother...who grew up in brooklyn...but refuses to drive in 'the city' (aka Queens)

they came to see us ONE time in 3+ years

Yabbo, it's so funny, my SisIL who has 3 kids refuses to drive out here, she'll have a panic attack.
