not as often as I'd like....usually it's in response to me complaining about how I look, and not on his own.

I think it is wayy more special when a DH DOES NOT say it everday..JMO but words used so nonchalantly soon lose its meaning, so think about it girls if ur DH only says it once in a blue moon--its not that it isnt always in his heart its just tha ur an EXCEPTIONAL beauty at the moment that the words came out:) If he didnt think u were beutiful he wouldnt be with you, words only mean so much--it is all in the actions

Now that I'm pregnant he tells me a few times a day, he LOVES when I'm pregnant. Otherwise, he usually tells me a few times a week. I'd be nauseated if he told me daily.

My husband tells me all the time. He is always complimenting me about something or other and I too feel bad because I feel that I dont compliment him enough either. Most time I question him or tell him that hes lieing because I just cannot see what he sees. He is very sweet though and although sometimes it gets very annoying..I really should learn to appreciate it more.

he tells me all the time, at least three times a week.

He tells me all the time...unfortunately, I don't always take a compliment well and that upsets him. He's great that way! I love that he notices everything!!!

He's actually coming around quite a bit in that department..Yesterday we went to see a show and grabbed a bite to eat before hand. I went to the ladies room to freshen up and when I came back, he told me that I looked really nice. And he's been really good about saying I love you since we've been married, it took him forever to say that!!!

But, for whoever said that he told you you looked beautiful on your wedding day...mine said 'nice dress'

He tells me every day. Honestly, I wish it was a little less because I feel like he says it just to say it.

The reason I asked is because mine has to be 'prompted to' and it annoys me. He is just not the type I guess. I tell him he looks cute all the time!

My Dh tells me at least once a day, now that I am prego he makes says it a little more. I feel so big and he tells me i am only getting cuter and prettier. I never wonder why i married him, it's very obvious.

In all honesty, he says it when we go out somewhere, b/c I take the extra time to make myself look decent.........considering most of the time he sees me I'm in sweats w/ a ponytail---he aint gonna tell me I look pretty then---I dont care what anyone says---Lmao!

Oh and we dont live together yet--so it would be impossible to hear it every day.....

Craig isn't one to compliment me either. It really bothers me sometimes, because I feel like my sister and all my friends have guys who are constantly telling them how beautiful they are and Craig never really says it unless he's prompted by me asking how I look - and then it's just a brush off 'You look fine, let's go' just to get me out of the house! It doesn't help that I have really bad self esteem when it comes to my self image either. I'm really insecure about how I look, and I never believe people when they say I'm pretty. To me, it doesn't mean anything unless I hear it from DH, but the one person I want to hear it from never says it. I had an argument with him a little while ago about this same thing too. I told him that I don't understand why complete strangers will come right up to me and say I'm beautiful, but my own husband never says it... He uses the same excuse every time - he says 'You know I think you're beautiful, why do I have to say it all the time?' I tell him he's hot all the time, I just don't think I should need to tell him to compliment me - it's pointless if he's just doing it to shut me up.... It's a crappy thing to argue about, but it bothers me that he can't just make more of an effort. I know it's not his repsonsibility, but it wouldn't hurt to hear it every once in a while either. I notice that when we're out - he'll see that other guys are hitting on me and then he'll say something like 'You're hot, I'd hit on you too', but that's really it He is a wonderful man, I just wish he could be a little more thoughtful when it comes to being romantic.

You girls are very lucky to have husbands who compliment you everyday!! I'd rather hear it everyday than not at all!
