how old?

I know this has probably has been posted before, but oh well....
How old was everyone when they had their first baby and how long had you been married? My husband and I were just having this talk last night...

DH and I were both 24 when we got married...we found out we were pregnant a couple of weeks before the wedding, whoops. We'd been engaged for 2 full years though.

My due date is a week or so before my birthday, so I will be turning 25.

I was 24 when I had Justin. We weren't married then. We got engaged the day of his Christening. The we had a 14 month engagement and now we have been married for 10 months!

I was 26 when I got pregnant. I went off the pill 2 1/2 months after we were married and got pregnant one month after that.

I was 31, hubby was 34 when we got married. We are expecting our first baby 1 week after our 2nd anniversary (6 weeks from today!!!) - I will be 33, hubby will be 36.

I'm 26 and DH is 28 and we were talking about when we will TTC which is very exciting, BUT, like the other post about not wanting kids, it's a little weird to talk about it actually happening! We're married almost 6 months and will probably wait until next summer(if I can wait that long!) What makes me nervous is what if we wait and then have a hard time? He wants a baby by his 30th b-day, I'll be 28 then. I have an appt with a new gyno soon, is there tests they can do to predict if we'll be ok or have a hard time?

There are a few things you can do to 'see' if you will be 'okay' but nothing can say 'yes, you will get pregnant the day you want to'. First I highly recommend you buy the book
Taking Control of Your Fertility. It explains things that no one ever told most of us about trying to have or not have a baby. Amazing stuff.
Next if you start to 'chart'- the book explains it all- you can easily see if you are ovulating every month or not and when your fertile time is during the month. That will help you A LOT. Next make sure you are taking a folic acid supplement everyday. That is very important to start early, as it helps your baby NOT have spinal/nervous system birth defects.

Make sure you go for your annual Pap! There is a series of blood tests that the doctor can do to check your 'levels' but most of these need to be done at specific times of the month- that is why charting really helps.

If you are young and healthy, most couples will get pregnant within 1 year. Again, there is nothing that can promise you anything though.

I was 28 when I got pregnant. I was only married one week ! I got pregnant on the honeymoon !! AND to top it off I had my son on MY 29th birthday !! So this year I will celebrate my 30th and his 1st on the same day ! Of course he will get the big party!!

Guess I'm the old lady then! I got married at 36, got pregnant at 37, but I am now and will still be, unfortunately, 38 when my bambino(a) makes his/her appearance!!!

However, in all fairness I was married before at 23 and had Brandon when I was 29

See, you still beat me by a mile!!! When I have a second -- not that I'm jumping ahead of myself here, let's get this one out first -- I'll more then likely be the same age as you! So we should be proud to have our second children at that age!!!!! We'll be the youngest looking old mothers there!!!

I was (still am) 36 when Lukie was born. We just had our second anniversary 2 weeks ago.

Edited to add: We want to have another baby, God willing and I will be at least 38 by then. My Mom had my brother at 36 and me at 39 so I guess it runs in the family.
