I have my something new (my dress, shoes etc.), I am borrowing my friend's hairpins, a blue thong and garter, but I am stuck on the old...I have a three silver bracelets that I bought myself in Tiffany's when I went to Hawaii 4 years ago...is that old? Do I have to borrow something from my Mom or an Aunt? What is your something old??

Re: How old is old?
I'm probably going to wear my grandma's diamond studs.
What about a hankie or something to carry with you from them? Not necessarily a piece of jewelry?

Re: How old is old?
My something old is going to be my mom's rosary beads, which will be woven into my bouquet.

My something Old, was my Engagement Diamond, not the Ring, The Diamond was my Great-Grandmother's. My Grandmother gave DH the ring.

Re: How old is old?
FMIL is letting me borrow her mother's (FH's Grandma) mother's hankerchief - so it's really old - and that will be my something old. In addition to that my actual something borrowed is MY grandmother's wedding band that I am wearing on my right hand.

I'm going to wear my Mothers Necklace/ Earring Set, it's well over 50 years old. That wil be my Something Old. I have pictures of the set in my album.

Re: How old is old?
My something old was my grandmother's ring. I also wore her necklace, but I borrowed it from my mom, so that was the 'something borrowed.' I don't think the ring itself is all that old, it's probably from the 1970s.
My stuff:
old--ring new--pretty much entire outfit! borrowed--necklace blue--my tiara has blue crystals, my engagement ring is an aquamarine, and my bouquet ribbon was navy blue Sixpence in shoe--I bought it but forgot! Wah!
I think your bracelets would qualify. But it's up to you, it's only a rhyme, you know!
