How ridiculous-VENT

Ok when i was about to starting writing this i was still waiting...but here let me explain...Fh is in vegas with his friends, i bought him the trip for x-mas, and today is his b-day, it ***** not being with him for his b-day but this is when everyone was going, plus were celebrating our b-days together this weekend since were just a few days apart...ANYWAYS...since i cant be with him today, i called up the hotel they were staying at to order a cake, balloons and a bottle of Johnny walker, well i did this at 4pm, which is 1pm there...I called one of his friends and he said they were going to eat around 3 so i tell the concierge this...Well they called me back a few times bc they couldnt find the room although i gave the room number...MGM has different sections and towers so thats why ....When i got out of work at 5, i finally tell her which tower which section after calling his friends back...my commute is over an hour so im thinking it will be there by the time im home-NOOOO

its 6:30 now and i call again and they say the manager of that tower picked everything up 10 mins ago...After 7pm his friend calls me to say nothing has come, i call them again at 7:45 and they tell me yeah the balloons got tangled up so they had to order new ones, im like ok but it has been 4 HOURS!!!! since i placed the order....FINALLY FH calls me to say thank you...Originally i was gonna vent about him still not getting it but still 4.5 hours for room service ***!!!!!!!!!

that *****!! complain!! thats not fair..they should at least give you something!! but in the end its the thought that counts and that was a very sweet gesture!

yeah he was very surprised, he didnt think i would do that lol, but he has to have cake its his birthday, how can you NOT have cake lol...It was funny they asked if i also wanted to send flowers, i was like uhmmm hes with about 8 guys, he will get abused lol, so i picked balloons instead

Thats crazy. You think people running such a big hotel they would know what they are doing and its the easiest task.

NOPE!!! infact it took me over 30 mins to place that order, anything i would ask the girl she would have to put me on hold to find out...She had no idea what bottles they had, i even asked about beer and it was $60 for a 12 pack

Thanks, it just came to me at work, i was like awww he probably wont have cake and then it hit me, ill call up and have cake sent to his room lol

hahaha i know, well you know getting balloons is very complicated

We stayed at TI when we eloped and we had kinda the opposite thing happen. When we checked in they offered us a complimentary bottle of champagne to be sent up the night of our wedding. Well not only did we get a bottle then but twice a day everyday we were there. Then my brother sent us a bottle and choc covered strawberrys and we received that order twice Needless to say we were waiting for a really big bill when we checked out. Thank God we didnt get one.
