Come on now... you'd think that a couple that is getting married the WEEKEND AFTER US would have a little more consideration!!!
Here we are...3 weeks PAST our RSVP date... and THEY HAVE STILL not RSVP'd!! YET.... somehow, someway they are ABLE TO SEND US an invitation to THEIR WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Somebody please explain this to me!!
Would it be simply awfule of me to RSVP (right away) and write on the back 'Now can you PLEASE RSVP to OUR wedding??????'
I mean, I ASSUME, they aren't coming, but ugh!!!!! HOW RUDE!!!

Well, what you can do now is designate a bp member to call and say 'Hi, we need final head count for caterer.' Coming or not?

Wow...that's really rude. How would this couple feel if you and your FI replied three weeks after their RSVP. I mean granted, maybe they are busy with planning their own wedding, BUT, that gives them no excuse to not be courteous to another's RSVP. Maybe they haven't RSVP'd to your wedding because they want to see whether you and your FI will go to their's. Are these close friends or family? I actually know a few people that won't attend another person event if that person didn't go to their event.
I would call myself or get my mother to call them. Pretend that a few invitations 'didn't arrive to some people' and that you were concerned that this couple had not received your invitation. Therefore, in the process of calling 'just to double check that they got their invitation', they will give you or at least feel forced to give you an answer right then and there. Just go on and on how you just wanted to make sure, etc. Make them feel guilty. Let me tell you, that's the one thing in life I can't stand...people not respecting or being courteous to one another.

That really is rude maybe they just got overwhelmed and forget. But still, I can understand your frustration.

WOW... Thats realy annoying... I'm dreading that part... Im sending out my invites next week.. If one of my close friends didnt send a reply i would be annoyed too.. I guess the only tackful thing to do is to call to see if they are comming hopefuly they will say that the reply must have been 'LOST IN THE MAIL' and not i forgot... with so many people i know getting married this year it is unnerving how many people become self centered around the time of there wedding... GOOD LUCK...

Maybe in light of the fact that they are planning a wedding themselves...THEY FORGOT???? Give them some slack. If it's past the rsvp date - call and say 'I'm not sure if you have forgotten but we haven't gotten yoru RSVP...will you be able to come ot the wedding?
