Unfortunately people have big mouths and I know about my shower, so my sister has been telling me who RSVP and if they're coming or not. The plan is to have the shower at a restaurant with close women family and friends and then a Jack and Jill bbq back at my house for everyone. Yesterday I'm at my sister's house and we play the answering machine to see who replied and there's a message from FBIL's fiance. Let me preface by saying that she and I are NOT friends, but unfortunately we WILL be family. Anyway, the message says that she's not going to go to the shower, but she'll come to the party after. Is she for real?! Initially she was 'planning' to be away for my shower, now miraculously she'll be around, but she's not going to go?! Shes going to look like such a d!ck in front of FH's family.

That is pretty rude. Did she say she had a prior engagement earlier that would cause her to miss the shower, but be available for the BBQ?
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do, so sometimes its best to let the little people in your life go unnoticed in these situations.

No, she has no prior committment. In fact, she was supposed to be out of the country for my shower and now all of a sudden she'll be around, but not for the party?! She's such a b!tch.
