How scary is this...

US officials say 40,000 people may have been infected with HIV and hepatitis in a major health scare, after a Las Vegas clinic was found to have reused syringes and medicine vials.

I'm just stunned. I work in Physical Therapy and I know our practices for 'waste' handling and sanitation of our equipment/supplies. We take a lot of precautions and we don't even deal w/ injectables. I just think its inexcusable
