How should we put it?

How should we put it?

We are putting 'Adult Reception' on our invites, but I am afraid that this term will not register or translate to those who aren't current on wedding etiquette and/or jargon (especially those who are just plain rebellious) so I wanted to know if we could S-P-E-L-L it out on our website . . . like 'Absolutely No Children Permitted' or something to that nature, IDK

You could use different wording on your RSVP cards to indicate that single people aren't to bring dates or couples arent to bring their kids. The cards will say:

____ seats have been reserved in your honor.

____ out of _____ attending.

Fill in the number of seats each person gets. So, for a couple you dont want to bring their kids, it'll say 2 seats... and ____ out of 2 attending. Hope that helps!

I received an invitation that said, 'Adult Only Reception Following Ceremony'.

I put in
number of adults accepting___
number of adults declining___

figured the mention of adults a few times would help them get the picture

I like this idea a lot. When someone says 'Adults Only' my mind goes to a bad place.

We are using the ____ seats in your honor thing along with adult reception only. I guess putting 'no children please' on our website would make it plain and simple in english, but do you think it would be offensive?
