how soon?

How soon should I have the BM order there dresses, the store keeps pressuring me that they might be discontinued . The wedding is in March ,2004. (17 months away!)

I would wait a while...17 months is a long time- you may see something you like better or your bm's could gain or lose weight.

I just ordered my bm dresses and I am getting married in may of 2003. I think you have plenty of time.

ALso, if a store is pressuring you to buy then maybe this isn't the right store for you to get them.

I am very into the vendors not being pushy, remember this is your wedding....

I am getting married in June 04 and I just ordered my dress. They told me I have some time for the BM dresses. It takes alot less time for those dresses to come in. If you really love the dress and if you are afraid that it may be discontinued then order it. Keep in mind MOST reputable stores will inform you that the dress you want will be discontinued in the upcomming months. ALL disigners inform thier distributers that a certin patern will be discontinued. If thay are pushing you it can mean that they are not a authorized dealer and they are BS'n you

Honestly I would NOT pick a BM dress for a 2004 yet. The store is totally correct. BUT you have sooo much time still. Your girls are bound to change their weight in the next 2 years. Ordering a dress now for 2004 is just asking for alteration problems if you ask me.

Besides the size issue , new styles do come out. You don't want to commit to something too early, then see something else you love later. Wait at least a few more months. I ordered fromBridal Reflections in Carle Place- I was told they tak 4-5 months to come in, but they took around 3. Look around 8 months before or so is plenty I would think.

I am getting married in Sept. of 2004 and was going to to look for my dress and my BM dresses sometime in March or April of 2003. I was told that, that was plenty of time for both. I would wait. You might something else you like after all the girls order it, then what.

If you found a dress that you totally love I would consider ordering as soon as possible because styles do get discontinued. That happened to me, luckily I found something I liked even more.
