So im gettin married in Oct of 09 how long should i wait to hire all my vendors (photo flowers dj ect.)?????? A couple ppl told me to wait cause then u? might get a good deal what do you guys think?

I would say by the year mark for the big ones like DJ, video, photo....esp. if there a certain vendor that you want......flowers i would wait till the 6 month mark if youre not in a rush

If you look around and find things that you really like you can go with it but since you have time you dont have to rush and settle for anything you are not totally happy with. Good Luck!

I would try to do it as soon as possible because by the end of the year some vendors may change their prices.

It depends on how picky you are- I booked the things that were most important to me early to insure I was able to use the vendors that I wanted. I booked my DJ and photographer/videographer early b/c each MC or photographer can only be at one party at a time SO inorder to have the people I wanted I did not wait. I do not think you will save that much by waiting.

i feel that it is important to do the majors..RH and photog ASAP. DJ is also important but can wait until after the year mark. im going to look into one in december. and ill book my florist, and (possibly) limos, also in december..
and i have my dress already.

We booked most of our vendors at the 1 year mark and some a little earlier. The great photographers seem to get booked up quickly and I'm hearing that the hair and makeup people do too. I booked the florist a year in advance so that I could see a sample of our CP (but I waited too long to see the sample and peonies weren't available in July).

I'm getting married in Oct. as well and i have my RH, church, and photographer booked. Thoes were the most important vendors for me. I'm working on the florist right now, and hope to have a band booked by the end of 08. Honestly I just want to get the the big vendors out of the way, it get's annoying making appt. after appt. and searching for the best price.
