6-9 months in advance is usually the standard. Some people send them out earlier than that if they have a lot of OOT guests or if they are getting married on a holiday. I sent mine out last week, I'm getting married in August.

I sent mine out last week, and I am getting married August 1, 2014. 6-8 months is pretty standard.

I sent mine out 13 months in advance. I'm not the norm tho- we have 75 percent of our guests traveling

Etiquette-wise I believe 6-8 months is the norm. We did ours at 7 months since we didn't have a lot of OOT guests. If you have a lot of people coming from out of town/it's a holiday weekend then I think its perfectly acceptable to send them earlier than that.

This! Also we're getting married 12 days before christmas! I wanted my OOT guests to have PLENTY of notice and time for travel arrangements!

I sent mine out at 10 months. I wanted to send them at the one year mark but certain family members wouldn't get me the addresses in time.

I also have heard if your date is around the Holidays it doesn't hurt to send out a little early. We have some out of state and out of Country (traveling from Germany!) family members and friends so I want them to have plenty of time to plan and save

We sent ours about 10 months in advance. We have mostly out of town guests so I was going to send them right at the 1 year mark but FH's grandmother was very sick and then eventually passed away so I was staying sensitive to that. Im pretty sure some people put it on their fridge and wont look at it again until June, but others knew they had flights to book etc. so in my opinion early is always nice for the oots.

Sent ours out September for a June wedding. Even with that some guests had already made plans and won't be able to make it. The good thing is since they have told us this, we were able to send some STDs to some of our B-list guests without them feeling like a B-list/last minute/fill in guest.Welcome New Vendors
