We got engaged at the end of May. My sister got married in the beginning of June. We had our engagement party in the middle of August.

We got engaged on January 1st 2002 and had our engagement party on March 16th 2002 so 2.5 months

alright, am I the odd man out? we we're engaged on Nov. 1 and the wedding is 2006. our e-party is April 2004. Is that too much time before the wedding?

We got engaged Feb 7 and had our Engagement Party on April 12 so about 2 months...

Not at all...I think engagement parties should be done sooner rather than later. There's already going to be plenty of parties and showers closer to the wedding. An engagement party is supposed focus on your engagement and getting your two families together. I think April is perfectly fine for a 2006 wedding... I would've done it even sooner

We were engaged in august and had our engagement party at the end of September. I think we needed the time to plan everything.

We got engaged July 29, 2003 and our e-party is THIS Friday! So just about 5 months later and 10 months to our wedding.

We were engaged in February 02 and had our e-party the 1st week of Sept. 02 on a river boat. It was a blast. We thought it was ok to wait a bit since we had a long engagement. Our wedding is in May04
