I'm getting married a week before you and I plan to send mine out no later than the end of July.

I sent mine out like 10 months before.. I didnt care what anyone had to say... I was way too excited lol

I think if you send out by Nov /Dec that plenty of notice

I sent mine out as soon as they were done which was the end of January I believe.

I don't think it matters when cause you want people to save the date. The only thing is that most people don't plan what they are going to be doing a year ahead of time.

I think it depends on how many OOT guests you have. Everyone at ours will be an OOT guest, so we're sending them 11-12 months before. However, I think if everyone is relatively local, 9 months before (or anytime before that) is good!

I sent mine out around Valentine's Day. I had planned to send sometime in January. I didn't want to send before people had their 2009 calendar because I figured they would at least write the date down on the calendar. I didn't want the STDs lost in the holiday mail.

I wanted to send early though because we have a fair number of OOT guests and a lot of those were coming from California. I actually included the hotel block room info for those OOT guests just so they could make their travel plans more easily.

But on the other hand my mom just received a STD yesterday for a wedding in October even though it's out of state. I think there is no real right or wrong answer, just do what makes sense to you.

I sent them out as soon as we set the date, so about 14 mos before. We also had alot of OOT guests.

I plan on doing it 6 months before the wedding. I already sent out an email version from out wedding website on the 1 year marker... so everyone knows.

I read on a wedding website to send it shortly after booking your date but we didn't do STDs so I can't speak from experience

Thanks Ladies!!!! I think it is equal.....50% local and 50% OOT. I am an OOT bride.

I sent mine out a year before, but i think 6 months to a year before is plenty of time! So you have some time before you really need to send them out.
