How soon before the wedding do you order BM dresses and flowers? My sisters want to lose weight before I pick the BM dress, but I don't know how long to wait. I also wanted to look at flowers, but my mom thinks it is too early (our wedding is in July). When do people usually start doing these things?

Your BM dresses should be ordered no later than January/February.
Flowers I would get done after the dresses are chosen.

Hi!
My wedding is only a few weeks before yours and I am going this weekend to pick BM dresses and flowers.
It will be about 7 months before the wedding.

I did flowers a year before...already knew what color the BM dresses would be.
BM dresses....I think we ordered in April for October wedding.

I would start looking for BM dresses. They can always order a different size but get the style down at least.

Thanks. I do have an idea of what I want. I want violet for the BMs and purple for the MOH. I also want something off-the-shoulder to go with mine. I have looked for ideas online, but haven't gone shopping yet.

as the bridesmaid who always seems to end up with a dress five sizes too big, i can tell you they are extremely easy to take in. my wedding is in august and i have picked my bm dresses, but not ordered yet.

IMHO, I don't think it's too early at all to start looking. My wedding is Nov '06 and I'm planning on booking florist and photographer by February, order my BM dresses in March and FG's in May. I already have my hall, dress, DJ already and I'm booking limo's next week.

I am MOH in my brother/fsil wedding July 15th of next year. Because she has a huge BP and she wanted us all to go together, we ordered ours back in Sept. Like someone said, you can always have the dress taken in.

My wedding is a few weeks befor yours, I have had my florist booked for a while. I am on a search for BM dresses, but haven't chossen any yet. Don't worry about having the dresses before the flowers. You can always change the color of the flowers.

I may be crazy but I am getting married in 1 year and 10 months and I am booking my florist on Friday. She only does 1 wedding at a time so I have to book this early. I am happy though since it is one less thing hat I have to do. I will wait until a year before to begin looking at BM dresses. I say if you know what colors you want book your florist now. You'll get 2005 prices.
