How soon - hair and makeup

I am getting married in 11/07 - live in NJ - how soon do I start the search?
Morning of wedding, I will be getting ready in a hotel in Garden City. Suggestions for low cost vendors in area who do a nice job but nothing too elaborate?

Also, do my mom, MIL and I go to the salon or do both vendors come to hotel? I don't think it matters to us! Help - Thanks!

I'm getting married in Jersey too... Less than 4 months now. Yeah! I actually have my hair and make-up trial in Brooklyn next month b/c they said to do it closer to the wedding so it's still fresh in their heads.
Plus, they'll be coming to the hotel (Short Hills Hilton in NJ) to do everything there. I think they're going to do my sister's and mother's make-up and hair. Not sure.... There's still time for you. Do you have anyone in mind?
