6-8 weeks usually. Ours are going out about 10 weeks because its a holiday weekend.

We had 2 mailings for our invites. Note our wedding was in August 2002. Our RSVP deadline was mid-July 2002.

For our Canadian and international guests, we sent invites at: February 2002.

For our all US guests that also includes NY Metro and local, we sent invites at: May 2002.

We sent our about 8 weeks in advance.

Our wedding is 3/6 and the lady at the invite place suggested sending them out the week before Christmas and our RSVP date is mid February.

We plan on sending ours out about 12 weeks prior - since it is a holiday weekend and we decided against STDs.

I believe 8 weeks prior is pretty common.

Lion in the Sun suggested that we send them out around mid feb with a reply date of March 24

we sent ours 3 months in advance and gave them a month to rsvp.
