To start looking at dresses??? Not tying the knot until april of 2013 but I can't wait!

You can look now to get an idea of the silhouette etc,& have some fun trying them on. I wouldn't buy it yet though because they're will be newer ones out and you might find something you like better closer too the wedding, have fun!

This was my dilemma too! I understand that styles change and new things will come out, but how do I know that the perfect dress for me isn't out there now?!?! I will start to look in sept/oct after my tan completely fades. I am keeping in the back of my head the fact that I have time and I don't need to choose, but if I fall in love, no reason not to buy!

I think its totally up to u. If u want to start dress shopping now then go right ahead. I cant wait to start either but with my wedding being over 2yrs away plus I want to lose some weight 1st so I plan to wait til next summer.

It took me about 6 months to become emotionally ready to try on gowns! Now i am super pumped to go!!

i wouldnt start looking until its atleast a year out or maybe 16 or 14 months away if you just cant wat that long. just because if you buy too early you may end up hating the dress by the time your wedding happens.

never too soon! I went a whole year before I was even engaged with a friend when she was looking and I fell in love with this dress. I didn't try it on then, but once I got engaged (months later) I went, and I actually bought it!

ITA styles change etc i would just get an idea of what you want by trying them on for now

I totally know the feeling, i want to go NOW but my wedding is still over two years away and I dont want find something and then later see a new style that i love more! I doesnt hurt to go through magazine and see what styles you like now, but in my opinion, i'm going to wait a little longer to go and try things on. I went to one salon and tried a few dresses on, but inthe back of my mind i knew it was just too soon. I plan to go start looking around Jan-Feb of 2012 (my wedding is oct of 2013). good luck
