How soon is too soon to test?

If you are a 30-32 day cycle....could you test on day 28 which would be a regular cycle or would that be too early?

it COULD be too early, but you never know!!! maybe wait a few days to make sure you are late

Its hard to say. It could work but it could also be too early to detect it. Its best to wait if you can or at least get a double pack so if you get a negative, you can test again closer to the date of missed AF.

First Response gives you results to up to 5 days in advance prior to your missed period!

So, if your on day 28 and ur cycle is 30-32 days - First Response will be able to detect if there is a pregnancy hormone in your system. In that case i don't think it too soon too test!

Go for it! Good luck!

I would try the First Response. I tested on day 27 (usually a 24/25 day cycle) and it was negative. But I still don't have AF and now it's day 30, maybe I'll try the First response too.

Do you have any symptoms?

There was an article on here posted by someone that showed the level of HcG needed to detect a pregnancy and first response was one of the lowest! They just have really good marketing! I recall Clear Blue Easy Digital could detect the level at 1/2 the First Response level....Good luck!

Here's a link to a ,ist of various test sensitivity levels. I'm personally a huge fan of the AimStick tests - always clear results, and their ovulation test and pregnancy tests have never failed me. But...I've never seen them in a store, only online, so it's not something you can get your hands on if you want to test immediately.

As for how early to test, it depends on when in your cycle you ovulate. If you're a late ovulator (like, let's say day 20-21 of a 32 day cycle), then testing on the 28th day could be too early for a positive result. If you're not sure when you ovulate, then just realize that you may not be able to rely on a negative result until AF is due, or sometimes even a few days later.

Good luck!

ETA: The ClearBlue digital isn't on any sensitivity charts I could find, and they don't even publish the data on their website (or on the box!), but I think it's been reported to be somewhere between 25-50.
