I am getting married in November, 2009 and I am thinking of registering soon. People keep asking me to register so that they can buy me engagement gifts. I think you are good to register now!

I registered right away and started getting gifts from FMIL's friends....she told me to register because they all buy gifts off it as engagement presents. I'd do it soon...why not, and it's fun!

I am getting married on July 26th 2009 and I have been registered for about a month already... and have received e-gifts from it already. Relatives have found it very helpful since I am far away they have no idea what I need and they can just choose items and have them shipped directly from the store. And I am getting items that I wanted .... so its working out perfectly.

If you are getting to ongoing 'where are you registered' question, then it's never too soon. I had people asking this over and over so we registered a few months after we got engaged.

If you know what you need, register as soon as you want to. A lot of people gave us eng gifts and they all said they were looking for my registry to get stuff for us ... but I didn't have it done at the time.....

wowowow....My mom keeps telling me when am I and I thought she is crazy because I have a year but I guess she wasn't maybe I should start...

We registered at one place so far (Fortunoff's) but we haven't started the other two. It's good because once you go to the store you can change your mind about things online as many times as you want!

FH and I registered for fun and people ended up buying us presents at our engagement party and that was back in January... the only problem is that a bunch of the stuff we registered for at fortunoffs has been discontinued so we'll have to go update soon

We registered already for out 9/6/09 wedding. We're having an eparty and we wanted to make sure it was up before then. I think you're good to go register now.

if you are having an eparty i would register now...we are going to macys today to registry for a couple of things for our eparty and new appt.

Well i got engaged in Nov. 07 & i wasnt registered for our Eparty in Feb. 08 I decided to wait. I registered about 10 months before our wedding. Its all in what you want to do.

we registered i think in april for our december wedding so about 8 months before the wedding we registered - its up to you, whenever you want you can start - im still probably going to add some things to mine before the invites go out - which i think might be in the next month or two

We registered the moment we got engaged because people wanted to buy us presents right then and were all wondering where we registered. And it's a good thing we did too because now with our Eparty coming up I didn't have one extra thing to do on top of moving and starting a new job and planning the Eparty.
