How tall are cake toppers?

How tall are cake toppers?

We want to create our own cake topper but we aren't sure exactly how tall they are about, we dont' want to make something too small or too big!

You can always place your cake topper on a base. That is what we did. Ours was alittle small, but we put it on a revolving base and it looked great! Here is a picture of what our cake topper looked like.

Very nice, my problem was I think mine might be either too big or too heavy I wasn't sure!!
