I have a new washing machine and after I removed the sticker on the top of it, I'm left with all this sticky residue that I can't get off. I've tried sponges, sprays, the works and it won't budge. Anybody have any clue how to get it off??? It's making my brand new washer look icky.

I know nail polish remover does remove it but be careful, it can take the finish off things.
Even better, I have stuff called 'Un-du' which is a small bottle of adhesive remover. It works great and it comes with a dull edged scraper attachment so you can scrape it right off. I swear by it! I got it at Staples but I bet they sell it at Target or Walmart.

when I get those stupid parking stickers on my car...i usually hold a wet cloth to it...let it loosen up and then take a razor blade to it...you may want to use your finger nail or something with a plastic edge to protect the finish

Goo gone is good also if you have lighter fluid, that works to get it off but I am not sure if it will ruin your finish?

Try rubbing alchol.that helps getting sticky stuff off too

When I'm taking old registrations off my car windshield, I spray windex and let it sit there, and just wipe off (with a little elbow grease of course)...maybe it's as easy as that? Did you try windex?
