Maybe wrap a piece of thicker cardboard? If that's too light, maybe you can wrap a piece of wood?

ooh or you can buy those boards that hold pictures (like in the dorm rooms) and stick pins in those OR maybe a cork screw board

I have one of these that a friend made for me. Get a thin piece of wood, cover it with batting (I think it's called-its like a sheet of cotton) and then cover with fabric, ribbion, etc. You can staple everything on (with a heavy duty stapler) on the back of the board as no one see that side.

Yeah, you can probably get a piece of scrap from there (ie already pre-cut). Plywood would probably work best.

Thats what I was thinking. I'm putting them on easels, so maybe that would be better.
Thank you ladies very much

Those pics look like they might be from a Martha Stewart magazine. If they are (or even if they're from Bride or Modern Bride), there would be directions along with them - have you done a search?

I've made those before - posterboard also works - like the ones that you used to use for science projects, that fold up. . .do you know what I'm talking about?
ETA: I meant foamboard, same thing.
That works fine, you are only going to use it once.
Cover it with cotton fabric, then put on the ribbons and what not to hold the cards.

Thanks! I was thinking that originally, but I'm going to have these outside on a deck, on easels. I'm afraid it won't be heavy enough to stay - it might fly away!
