I went to a bridal store on Monday and tried on a dress that I was liked. The salesperson was adamant and would not tell me who the designer was. I thought that was so ignorant on her part. And, also they ripped out the tags.
Has anyone else experienced this or know of someone who has?

yes some store do that, that's why love the service at Helens Bridal they give you any information and let you take pictures (some places dont)

you're not allowed to know who makes the dress you're potentially spending hundred to thousands of dollars on my guess is they don't want you to run out and find it cheaper online or whatever. i have heard of that sort of thing before, but that doesn't make it okay.

i have heard of some places doing this. i guess they do it to try to stop ppl from finding the dress cheaper elsewhere. i personally wouldn't trust a place that does this cause how would i know whether or not i'm getting ripped off.

it hasn't happened to me.. but i've heard soo much about it.. they rip the tags out because they either want to rip u off, and they dont want you to find it somewhere else... plus there are a couple places that sell fakes... so all that plays into for you know really knowing the truth.. you think you're getting this great deal, meanwhile it's not....

I heard they do that because they don't want you to research and find the dress at a better price. If I were you I would go back and take a picture of it...if they don't allow cameras, maybe you can do it with your cell phone. Then you can show it or email it to other stores for price comparison.

I have never heard of that but, i would go back and take a picture with a camera phone and post it or ask other bridal stores.

but that is ridiculous! even if I did buy the dress at that store I would still want to know what the designer is.... or I guess by that point they would TELL YOU.. once the money comes out ----some places are just annoying! lol
