How tight should your dress be??

How tight should your dress be??

I did my second fitting at Bridal Reflections and it fits really well as in...I dont think I'll have to yank the stupid thing up all night long but it seems pretty snug.
When you take your dress off...is it normal to let out a HUGE sigh like 'Oh WOW I can finally breathe again?'
I dont know how tight it should be? It's not so uncomfortable that Im going to pass out from lack of air (I think) but Im not too sure what it's suppose to feel like!!!

Should I feel slightly uncomfortable?? Is that normal?

Well, I had a different kind of dress (more slinky, less binding) but I don't think you should feel that way when you take it off.

I only had my first fitting but it was not that tight when i took it off. perhaps it is the undergarments you are using? if not, i would tell the seamstress as you do not want to be uncomfortable. you will be wearing that dress for the whole day.

when i first tried my dress on it was a bit snug it felt comfy but when i took it off i def fekt a difference i ordered it a size bigger so i can alter it to fit perfect. also its a corset so i can fix it easily if its too tight i def think u should be as comfy as u can you will be in it for a long time!!

imo, you should have it tailored the way you are comfortable. Please remember you will be taking pics, getting up, sitting down, in a limo, dancing, blah blah blah the entire day. Be comfortable bc you aren't going to have time to take a break and relax lol

it should be tight enough that it stays up, but not so tight that you are uncomfortable. I made the mistake of letting my seamstress make the dress too tight, so I was it pain for most of my wedding because my ribs were being smashed in.

the fit is something different for everyone--some feel better with it very tight, others a little looser.

don't forget that your dress will be snug in the morning/afternoon when you put it on--and as the day goes on, it will fit more loosely on you, as more around in it, sweat, and party. so you don't want to be pulling it up too much at the reception.

Melissa,
I never thought of it streaching a bit as the day goes on. It's definatly snug but I think i can deal with it. It's not so tight I cant breathe but when I take it off I can certainly feel the difference.
I was worried about it slipping off of me but it fits well enough so I dont have to worry about that.
I've got one more fitting 2 weeks before the wedding to make sure it's all good.

I haven't looked for a dress yet but I have been warned that brides usually lose a few pounds the few days before the wedding. My friends seamstress made the dress a little tighter for that reason.

Make sure you can breathe, you shouldnt really be uncomfortable but you should KNOW that the dress is not going to fall and that its holding on.
My dress did not stretch at all...I think it got smaller At the end of the night really-I did have to get the dress off b/c I felt like I couldnt breathe. That was after dancing all night.
