Re: How to...

I made a list of popular vendors that other LIW brides used and started making appointments.

We're using Designs by Rose and are SUPER thrilled with their prices, customer service, and their work. I highly recommend them!

Other vendors on my list were:

Flower Michele
Burtons
Pedestals
Flowers by Brian
Verbena Designs
LA Blossom

-can't remember the rest-.

I went to the places that were familiar to me and in my neighborhood... since we're only doing BoKs and bouts.

check some of the reviews on here from brides and see what you like and make appointments from there... thats what i did and ended up choosing Burtons!

Re: How to...

look through magazines and have some pics of things you like, wether it be bo-ks, cps, or just a flower. Some florists are great, others expect you to know exactly what you want when you walk in the door. good luck

We haven't done this yet but we are going to start by looking into local florists because they are usually cheaper. But if that doesn't work then I will try calling the ones from this site.

Im from suffolk also, but I think were booking with Verbena Designs in HIcksville. Her ideas were amazing and she was soo helpful and sweet. My cousin used her for her wedding last year and said they were amazing. She walked us through all the different flower options for our color scheme and will let us see a sample set up in our RH before we book!! And the part i liked the best was that she only does one wedding a day.

If you want someone in suffolk you can try James Cress in Smithtown, ive heard there pricey but amazing.. but i havent been there myself yet. Another one in suffolk is Malkmes Florist in Port Jeff. I met with him but we just didnt click. His prices werent bad though..
