A widow on the invite ?? Should it be Mrs. Jane Doe or Ms. Jane Doe ? This is a woman I use to work with whom I'm still very good friends with, her husband passed away about 2 years ago. TIA

Re: How to address...........
When addressing an invitation to a widow, send it using her husband's name, such as Mrs. George Cunningham. The inside envelope would be addressed to Mrs. Cunningham.

We did Mrs. John Doe. I think etiquette said that if you're a widow, you are addressed as Mrs. John Doe, but if you're separated or divorced, you are Ms. Jane Doe. But I don't see why Mrs. Jane Doe wouldn't work, either...

Re: How to address...........
definitely Mrs.
My grandmother has been widowed for YEARS and she is still Mrs...some do Mrs. Gordon Cote and some Mrs. Ruth Cote, I think either is fine.

where did you hear that? IMO, that is very inappropriate.
imagine if your husband was God forbid dead and someone invited you that way.
