i did my eng invites the usual way with 'mr. and mrs. john smith' with their address following on the outside and inner 'mr. and mrs. smith'
my wedding invites don't happen to have an inner envelope. how should i go about letting my single friends know that they can bring a guest? i don't want to put 'and guest' on the outer envelope. some of them don't know yet who they'll bring in nov so i can't ask them for a name.
THANKS!

With no inner envelope, I'd say you have to put &Guest on the outer envelope.

I don't see anyway around it but adding and Guest onto the envelope.

Re: how to address w/ no inner envelope?
I have a variation of this question..I too will probably have no inner envelop....and I know the friend I am inviting has a significant other...should I ask for his full name and address it to both individuals? What is the proper etiquette?

Re: how to address w/ no inner envelope?
that's what i am doing w/ friends who have a sig other. i'll just address the outer envelope to the both of them using their full names.
