That's how I did mine, just like any other couple who is not married.

ETS: oops misread the post, I thought they weren't married. Do you know if one has taken the other's last name or if they've created a new last name?

Mr and Mr Jim and Bob Smith?

or Mr Jim Smith and Mr Bob Jones

that's what I would do. If they have the same last name, then I would write Mr. and Mr. Bob and Steve Smith (names are made up).

If no one has changed or hyphenated last names, then I would just write:

Mr. and Mr. Bob Jones and Steve Smith

OR

Mr. Bob Jones and Mr. Steve Smith

IF they have two different last names and not a combination of the two,as some gay couples do, then I would do it the way you said.

If you feel comfortable enough maybe your best bet is to ask them - this way you don't take any risk of offending anyone.

From the.knot.com :

Invitations: Addressing One to a Gay Couple?

Q. How do you address an invitation (or place card) to a gay couple?

A. The same way you would address it to any other unmarried couple or married couple with different last names. On the outer envelope of the invitation, the two names should be alphabetically listed on separate lines:
Mr. George Bellafante Mr. Thomas Jones

On the inside envelope, use titles and last names: Mr. Bellafante and Mr. Jones. Same with the place card.

As I was reading this, I was wondering how coem there isn't soem 'offical' rule on this. Glad to see the know is keeping with the times.

With hetero couples the woman comes first if they have diffent names, so with a gay couple do you just go alpabeticl o the oens youknw better?

I have the added dilemma of a gay couel livign together, but not out to msot of our friedns whom they willprobabaly be sitting with.

I'm going to wait as long as I can to see if they tell anymore people & then I will ask the one I know better. I'll probabaly jsut invit ehim with a guest & he can take it from there, but normally I wouldn't do that b/c they are living togehter , I would include both on the invite.
