How to ask Bridal Party

How to ask Bridal Party

I am 9 months away and still have not asked anyone to be in my bridal party. I had trouble deciding because I have many friends from various times and places in my life.
I think I have finally got it together but don;t know how to ask them.
I want to do something cute and lighthearted because I am not an over sentimental person.

Any ideas??

I just sort of blurted it out at a party when they were all around and asked them all at once! then during our first official 'meeting' I gave them each a little make up bag in my wedding colors with all kinds of stuff for the day of (gum, lip gloss, deodorant and a pocked calendar with their names on it)

But my two sisters who have gotten married have each sent cards asking me to be their MOH!

It was sweet and very touching! It doesnt have to be mushy, it can just be fun!

There are tons of cards out there here's one;

I like those cookies but they are kind of expensive in my eyes. I was thinking maybe I could make the other dress one (less writing.)
I made the cookies for our engagement party favor and everyone loved them.

I just called and asked them... But I always knew who would be in it, so as soon as I got engaged I called me all told them I got engaged and asked them then!!!

I am doing it at my eparty. I got a book called Bridesmaids by M B roberts. It has little sayings on each page like....she always makes me laugh

she knows how to throw a party

she will wear dyed to match shoes....etc etc...

there are pics of bridesmaids/people for each page/saying. I am personalizing it by putting pics of my bridesmaids over the pics on the page.

I also found puzzle cards at michaels...I painted them my color...and put stickers/rub-ons spelling out will you be my bridesmaid/MOH.....very cheap and easy! you put the pieces in a card envelope and they put the puzzle together...I'm giving them that first and then giving them the books!!!

If you want to go the creative route, I created these really cute cards through the walmart online photo dept.

I got to customize them and add my own pics so I added my monogram and pics of a dress and a bouquet. I got to write my personal message in them.

They are 5 x 7 sized greeting cards that fold and they come with envelopes.

I ordered 8 and my total was under 10 bucks.
I thought it worked out great compared to the other places I looked.

I hired a telegram and had the guy sing to all of them at dinner. They were all so confused until he sang a sentence about each one of them. At the end he handed them a rose asking and making them each say yes. It was cute. FM me for info. It wasn't expensive and they travel all over Long Island.

I am going to do the cookie thing too- I found ones with a really nice poem on them- and I am going to make the cards myself. I know the cookies are a little pricy- but i figured it was worth it to do something different and all the things a BP does- it was ok.

Someone gave me the idea to get a BM picture frame and write my own poem and put it in there- that way they can keep the frame and it is less expensive.

Stop and Shop sells a huge chocolate chip cookie that they write on like a cake....you can get all the girls together and have 'will you be my bridesmaids?' written on the cookie... it is around $10
