How to Bargain/negotiate?

Re: How to Bargain/negotiate?
If you can offer to pay cash. Some people have said they may lower the tax. Not in my case but they did throw in some extras. Extras that I would have originally paid for. They really didn't budge on the cost though. You may be able to negotiate with you other vendors. Offer to pay cash whenever possible. Other vendors will definitely cut out the tax if you can do this. They offered it to me I didn't even have to ask. Good luck.
Re: How to Bargain/negotiate?
There are so many beautiful places in Westchester county on the water.... The Glen Island, VIP, The Surf Club... all very beautiful. My suggestion is to have them give you proces on just about everything..... For all there is to get on their menu... Surf anf turf... the whole nine.... and then at least you know how much it would be for all of that.... then start taking things away....So at least they can't give astronomical numbers....it works..... also... if you guarantee a larger party they tend to give better price breaks (such as a lower cost per plate)...Hope this helps
Re: How to Bargain/negotiate?
Thanks for the tips. I will try that. I know westchester has lots of nice places on the water, but all those New Rochelle places are where we had proms etc. and where everyone from my area gets married. I want to be different. I saw the Crescent Beach Club today and fell in LOVE with it!! It is a bit too pricey, however, they have a date open still in 2006. It would be a very big rush to plan my wedding in around 6 months, but they gave a great price break, that actually made the wedding affordable. We will see though. I have to see if my church even has the date available and if I am able to get all the vendors in that short amount of notice

Re: How to Bargain/negotiate?
I like that 05/06/07. I would definitely have no trouble remembering that. Is that a friday or saturday, day or evening? Do you mind telling me how much you are spending per person including service charge and tax. I was given a discount date of 5/26/07, friday night wedding, which is the first day of Memorial Day weekend (tons of traffic). The price they gave me was 105 pp but that doesnt include tax, service charge. It is very tempting and I actually have a hold on the date, but I really don't know if I could plan my wedding in 6 months. I absolutely love it there!! No other place compares in my mind, but I just don't know if I could do it in that short amount of time, and if I could come up with the money in that short amount of time. I was originally thinking July 07' Friday night but it is a bit too pricey. Any information you could give me I would really appreciate it. I'm going back there this tuesday 11/22 so if you could reply back before then, that would be great. Thanks.
