How to Bid

How to Bid

We just found a home we love. We still have to go for a tour.
When we decide we want to make a bid who do you tell? The real estate person? Are you locked into anything at that point?

You are not locked into anything unitl you sign the contract. You would tell you real estate agent and then you would go sign a bid agreement and the bid will be called into the seller. Then the waiting begins

Just some advice: If you havent gone on a tour yet, try not to get your hopes up too high. As many of us can tell you, pictures on MLS or any of the other websites can be very deceiving! I hope it is the house of your dreams but I know I was crushed a few times because I was sure a house we saw online was the house and it really wasnt!

Good Luck, where is the house?

we made about 4 or 5 offers before we found our house.

We had a habit of bidding extremely low. and working up from there. Have a number in your head, and don't go past that.

we must have seen 75 houses before we purchased - we looked for about a year. Know your areas, taxes, and school districts before you make a move. If something seems to good to be true - it is.

Re: How to Bid

when u bid, u should pick a price that you feel the house is worth (with room to counterbid if need be) ---unless you absolutely love the house-try bidding close to your max-so you don't have to play the bidding war---

definitely have a number in your head that you will not go above-your limit........bidding can be tricky!
