One of our major things left to do is book our rehearsal dinner. We are having such a hard time doing this mainly because we cannot go out and visit the restaurants. I have a couple of questions:
1. Is it OK to book a restaurant for a rehearsal dinner site unseen? (I have several recommendations of places from you ladies anyway)
2. What questions do I ask?
3. What should I expect from a restaurant where my RD will take place?
My FI and I are almost to the point of not having one, though we would really like one. It is so difficult to get to Long Island lately because my FMIL is in the hospital (in Manhattan) and will be there for probably another week, so his parents cannot help us with this now.
Thanks!

Re: How to book a rehearsal dinner
I would go to the place you have in mind/ recommended to you (you're going to have to sign a contract anyway). Where you plan on having it has a lot to do with what to expect. A local restaurant you want to make sure prices per head include drinks (beer, wine and soda) and dessert. If it's not a large party see if they will offer (or have) a separate party room, etc.

Re: How to book a rehearsal dinner
i called up local restaurants & told them i was planning a RD. they gave me all the info i needed... price per head, & what was included (app, first course, entree, dessert, coffee, alcohol, etc). i found that the prices varied from about $25 - $45.
