Hi Ladies, I was just wondering how I can cancel a vendor? I have no idea how to do it in a very nice way. I feel bad but I just decided to go with someone else.

Hmm...I would try to do it via email or certified letter or something where it would be in writing.

Be honest don't worry about they will get over it. Count to 3 and press send for the email. I had to cancel a vendor I felt for a minute but then I was so relieved when I book the person I wanted.

Re: How to cancel a vendor
We cancelled one of our vendors. The contract said in order to do so we had to write a letter and send it certified mail. I even went as far as to get the letter notarized! I basically said that unfortunately we will no longer be needing their services......I kinda made it sound like the wedding wasn't happening, in hopes that they would return the deposit...yeah didn't happen!

Thats exactly how I feel!!!! This vedor never gave me a contract and said that my cashed check as the deposit was considered a contract. I didnt feel right from teh beginning and now that I found someone else I really want to cancel.

Thats exactly what I thought but I freaked out thinking people were booking up fast so I went with someone available and I regretted it right away

Re: How to cancel a vendor
I canceled a few vendors...although i felt bad and was nervous, I had to do it.
I typed a nice letter canceling the service and sent it certified and registered mail. - done, finished.

Re: How to cancel a vendor
Make sure you read your contract to make sure you are not binded to it. I would just contact the vendor and be honest with them. Maybe they would be able to help you out and return your deposit.

Re: How to cancel a vendor
Be Honest and do it ASAP... if you continue to prolong it then they could be loosing out on other business. thats not fair either... so just close your eyes and go for it! Its really not the end of the world im sure it happens to them more than you think! good luck!
