I think someone posted this before, but I can't find the post. My glass shower doors ALWAYS look streaky--any ideas on how to get them clear again?

If you use Amonia after you use Bleach it should make them sparkle!

The first time we cleaned our shower doors (because the people before us never did apparently!) we used baking soda and a brillo pad. Just scrub lightly with lots of water.
After that, I have never had to do that brillo pad thing again. I use scrubbing bubbles once a month and we use a squee-gee every day after we shower to clean the doors and the tiles. It cuts down on cleaning the tiles as well.

We squigee them after every use. But when I clean them, I use the Mr. Clean Eraser, then I use windex and I have found it works really well!

I brillo'd the first time also...I use Tilex Shower Spray everyday and I always dry them even though the direction say to spray and walk away...

Did the brillo pad scratch the doors? We still have grime from the previous owners...

Please be careful!! You can hurt/kill yourself if these two get mixed together.
The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and scrubbing bubbles cleaner works for me.

Try SPRAY Comet cleaner. It's non abrasive (wont scratch). Spray it on the dry doors, let sit for a few mins, wipe with sponge and rinse. No scrobbing needed! Works sooo good on doors, tubs, tile walls. If the doors are really bad you might want to do it twive. To keep streaks away use Windex with vinegar...its the Windex bottle with the clear windex in it. Leaves everything streak-free (mirrors, glass, windows).

I also vote for the MAgic eraser....I would use it on the shower door at MIL house when we lived there and that was YEARS of not being cleaned properly!

No, the brillo did not scratch the doors, but like I said, use lots of water and a light hand. Light like you were being careful with crystal glasses, and not scrubbing a dirty pot, that's what I mean. You may have to go over it if you have excessive grime, but it should work well.

Instead of brillo .. wouldn't it be safer just to use one of those special two-sided sponges .. where one side is the rough side for scrubbing tough jobs .. but won't scratch the surface .. there are a bunch on the market.

I use a scrub brush and Bar Keeper's Friend (a milder abrasive cleaner). Then I clean them with Windex w/ paper towels or newspaper. That will get the doors sparkling. To maintain- you HAVE to squeegee (sp?) every time you get out of the shower or you will get streaks. It is a PITA having these doors, as nice as they look.

I use scrubbing bubbles, or Kaboom. I spray it on, let it sit for a min. and then with a wet sponge scrub the doors.
