How to clean tile floors?

We have matte tile floors in our living room (strange, I know) and dining room. I can't seem to get them clean--I tried ammonia and bleach. Any suggestions on cleaners that work?

I used to use amonia in water, but I bought the clorox mop (like the swiffer) and it's great. If they're matte, though, they may never come up 'shiny'!
