I had a big change in my taxes and want to find out what the neighboring homes are being taxed. How do I do this? TIA.

In suffolk county it is public information. (I wanted to verify the taxes on my house prior to closing.) Call the town hall, and say you would like to make an inquiry on the property taxes of (Give address of a house on your block approx. same size house and property as the one you own), or tell them you are looking to buy the home.
