how to get a copy of your birth certificate?

is there any other way, other than requesting it from NYS department of heatlh? ( it costs 45 bucks)

i was hoping maybe to swing by the hospital i was born at? or am i crazy and gotta get it from NYS department of health

go to town hall. they printed one for me on the spot.

I think they just needed my drivers license....I filled out a form and that was it. You just have to go to the town you born in.

I don't remember how much it cost but I ordered FH's thru vital check.com...

I just ordered mine on 12/30 thru the internet. I had to go thru the NYC. It only cost $15 plus a check fee. I ordered 2 copies and paid $35.50. It arrived today in the mail. Depending on where you were born could change ow much the cost is.

You can also apply in person. You do need proof of identity. They tell you exactly what is needed on the website.
