how to get baby fever?

this is weird but i don't have baby fever but i want to have it ... and more importantly is for DH to have it.

But we're never around children (DH has a niece and nephew which we see on special occasions only and that's more than enough since DH's brothers are super-annoying). And all of my friends who have children are out of state ...

so short of being with actual kids, does anyone have any tips on contracting baby fever?

believe it or not my husband gave it to me

the man is not normal

my DH has it WAY more than me I think about it then I chicken out!

honestly, if you dont have it then maybe you both dont want it right now. i wouldnt force it because having a child should be something you are both ready and on board for.

i understand what you're saying but i disagree (for us, at least).

DH and i *do* want children, but we're too nervous and selfish right now. i was hoping that getting baby fever would make that nervousness & selfishness go away, at least a little. I have no doubt that when we do have this future-baby, we'll be amazing parents.

Looking at cute lil baby clothes gives me major baby fever

Sorry... I am of NO help! I get the pang of Baby fever..and look for ways of squashing it!

(though...when I do get it... its more so because I'm with my Nieces and Nephews....or lurking on LIF TTC, Pregnancy or Birth Story boards! lol)

I think when you are, it will just hit you. You don't need to be around babies, but at one point it might be all you start thinking about. When you're ready, you will know! Until then, ENJOY yourselves :) If you're nervous and selfish right now, it's not the time. Be selfish and do everything you want NOW! Life will change so much (for the better!) And when you are ready, you will be amazing parents!! :)

this exactly is waht i meant. theres nothing wrong with being too nervous and selfish now. i give you credit for admitting that. and like Jackie said...enjoy your time now. when you are ready to change baby fever will hit you
