So I have had the dates down for my bachelorette/bachelor party weekend for a long time now. The plan has always been dinner on Friday night and then Wine Tour on Saturday. So today two of the people in my BP are like we got free tickets to Dixie Chicks, would you mind if we missed dinner? This just makes me really sad. Would you tell your friends to skip the concert? I feel like the Dixie Chicks tour all the time and I am only getting married once and having one bachelorette party weekend.

Re: How to handle Bachelorette Party weekend...
hmmm... i definitely agree with you being hurt. you only get one chance at your bachelorette weekend. it stinks that they would even put you in the spot and ask you. it shoulda been 'nope, we already have plans' and give the tix to someone else. i don't know if i'd tell them to miss the concert though. i feel like that's something they should decide on their own. no matter how much it hurts me inside

I might be a litte upset that they wouldn't be there for dinner but I wouldn't ask them not to go to the concert. They'll be there with you the whole day on Saturday right?

If there are other events going on...missing one of them for a concernt shouldnt be upsetting. They will be attending the wine tour as well.

I wouldn't be too too upset about it. I would be dissapointed but you do have the day at the wineries the following day. Sometimes a 'weekend' is a lot for everyone to attend. A few girls only came to the wineries for mine and had to leave afterwards and missed dinner/dancing because they had other things to do. I understand you being disapointed but I wouldn't make too big a deal about it. Maybe they can meet up with you guys after the concert? Unfortunately, the chicks don't tour all the time (last time was 5 years ago) - I'm a chicks fan and going to the concert so I can relate to your friends so I might not be a help

i wouldn't tell them not to go either. as much as your feelings are hurt, if you tell them not to go when they will be going to the wineries the next day, unfortunately, you'll just come off as selfish. it's definitely rude on their part though.

Re: How to handle Bachelorette Party weekend...
I am annoyed because our friend who got married last year no one would have even thought to suggest missing part of her weekend. My MOH thinks that I need to be a little more firm and let them know its important to me that they be there. She mentioned she had offers to do other things on that Friday night but said No I already have plans, which is exactly what I would have said had I been in that position. I just dont like being put in this position, I feel like they shouldn't have asked me, because what can i really say?
And while they will be there on Saturday the thing is is that they live far upstate so I dont see them much and was looking forward to a full weekend with my best friends and now they are cutting it short. Its making me feel like a concert is more important.
She was like would you be really upset, be honest, so i replied possibly. But the more I think about it the more upset i get.
