How do you handle holidays like Christmas and Mothers Day, etc, once you are married? Thanks!

Re: How to handle holidays after you are married
We handled these past holidays the way we did before we got married.
Palm Sunday and Easter - spend it with my family since ILs do not do anything to celebrate those holidays
Thanksgiving - we alternate every year
Xmas Eve - spend with my family since ILs do not do anything for the Eve
Xmas Day - Spend it with ILs and DHs family
New Years Eve - spend it with my family
New Years Day - spend it with ILs
Mother's Day - spending it with my family and then going to see MIL for dessert or going to see her the day before
Father's Day - spending it with my family and then going to see FIL for dessert or going to see him the day before

Re: How to handle holidays after you are married
It was pretty difficult getting pulled in many directions...but now we have it down.
Most holidays we split...the evening of at one parent's house and the day of at the other.
For Christmas eve we go to my dh's cousins and see everyone on his side of the family and on Christmas day we go to his mom's house (his parents are divorced) and then my house for dinner.
Thanksgiving~I cook and my family comes over. His mother works as a nurses assistant so she's never home and his father is remarried, so he spends it with her and her family.
Everthing seems to work for now...

Most of the holidays are easy for us since FH is Jewish and I'm Catholic.... Thanksgiving we spend with my mom since her birthday falls within a day or so, so we celebrate it with everyone. The other days we just discuss and see who wants to do what and when and go from there... nothing is set in stone.

Basically our holidays are a nightmare. Both of our parents are divorced.
For Mothers day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, we do both families. Sometimes our families will schedule so we can eat a little with each.
It is not easy and I cannot wait until we have a house and we can do at least one of the holidays and just have our families come to us

yea both sides gets upset. i hate running from one place to the next on holidays. i can see my mother or his mother making a big deal about us splitting the time.
