how to print wedding envelopes in Word??

Is there an easy way to print envelopes using Microsoft Word? Meaning i know that you can enter addresses in one by one... but can you create something in excel and merge that document for envelopes? (keep in mind i'm a dummy at this stuff)

i used the mail merge feature in Word.

all of my addresses were in a table in MS Word format to start with. open a new Word document and go to tools, then to letters and mailings and then mail merge wizard. it will walk you thru all of the steps. you'll have to customize the size of your envelopes under tools, then letters and mailings, then envelopes and lables. click options on the envelope tab and then scroll to the bottom to select custom and then you can enter your envelope dimensions. good luck!

What did you mean by having the addresses 'in a table in MS Word format' to start with? You can't do it if they are just typed in a Word document regular format?

I am soo computer challenged when it comes to this stuff!

the mail merge feature won't be able to pick up the addresses unless they're in a table (or excel chart, that works too). you can create a one column table and copy and paste your addresses into it.

in word go to table, then insert table, select 1 column and then for the row use the number of invitations you'll have to send out (you can always add more rows or delete them later). save this table in someplace easy to find because you'll need to locate it once you start the mail merge.

what I can't figure out is how to get the return address to print. My env are 6x9 and every time i test print, it cuts off the return. (thankfully i'm testing on regular paper)
I've been playing with the custom size but NOTHING is working!
Also, I only tried the rsvp env once before almost throwing my printer out of my office window...it's small (5.75 x 4.375) and that didn't work at all!

I usually go to 'Complete Merge' and then 'Edit Individual Envelopes' to make sure everything lines up fine. When you put your address/return address blocks there, sometimes it doesn't line up right.
